Perfect Peace

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3

Song: Perfect Peace by Marvin Sapp

The world is scared. We are in a time where nothing is certain. 16 million people had jobs last month but they don’t today. 28,000 families are mourning their loved ones and not able to have the support of their friends and family. As a result, people are alone and lonely. Churches are not allowed to gather and support each other face to face. And these are just the new problems that have compounded all of the old issues.

Yet, there is hope. As children of God, we don’t have to be scared. We have a promise of peace that passeth all understanding. Our God knew that we would be here right now. He knew that there would be an pandemic. He knew that we would be stuck in our homes. He knew that there would be a day were we would not be able to be in our church and rely on the faith of the pastor, praise team or elders to get us through the week.

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

Right now, we must fully trust in God for ourselves. Whatever you may be going through today, God wants you to exercise that faith the size of a mustard seed. He wants you to call on the name of Jesus to save you and keep you mind on the goodness and faithfulness of the Savior. Then don’t just stop there. Keep your mind on Him in all you do. Want to know what you get in return? God’s perfect peace.

This peace will let you sleep at night. This peace will let you focus on being productive during your days. This peace will have you telling others of God’s love even when it seems the world is falling around you. This peace will put a genuine smile on your face in the middle of the storm.

Trade your anxiety and fear for His peace today. Take a moment right now and tell God how you feel, then give it all to him.
